Your Adventure is Waiting

Imagine…
You wake up to the smell of freshly-brewed coffee. Enjoy that first cup sitting in a chair on the front porch, taking in the beauty of a new day. The chickens are scratching the ground around the yard looking for a tasty morsel, and the alpacas are nibbling on an early feast of tender grass underneath the dew. All this makes you a little hungry yourself, so you venture into the chicken coop, and select some freshly-laid eggs, still warm, for your breakfast. A little more coffee and fresh eggs.  What a start!

That’s just a sampling of how it is at Heritage Farm. From there, you can read that book that’s been waiting on you, or go take a walk down by the creek, or pitch in with some farm chores. Maybe tomorrow you’ll soar into the woods on the zip line or even take a nap in the shady hammock! It’s all up to you…

We think of our farm as a little bit of ‘heaven on earth’ and we love to share it with others. Heritage Farm is a working alpaca farm with over 50 alpacas you can watch and interact with. Also residing on the farm are a flock of chickens, several Nubian goats and two adorable Kune Kune pigs! Make friends with our black Labrador, Juno and several barn cats.

Our farm stay accommodations include a beautiful, well-appointed 3-bedroom guest house, a rustic 1850's log cabin and a suspended tree house tent! Or, you can just bring your own tent or RV. New in 2024 is our restored River Birch Cabin. You choose your level of comfort and adventure!

If you want, you can help with the daily chores of feeding the alpacas and collecting eggs. After that, explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm.

Activities for kids include helping with farm chores, wading in the creek, swinging on the large platform swing, soaring down the 400 foot-long zip line (limited availability, extra fee) and just running around the rolling expanses of grass.

Our Philosophy

We want you to have a wonderful stay at Heritage Farm and we will do our best to exceed your expectations. This is your retreat for however long you are staying and we hope you'll be relaxed, comfortable and happy.

Our Faith

Our Christian faith is important to us. We have been so richly blessed with this farm and sharing it with others is what God has called us to do. We strive to show God's love to our guests by exceeding their needs and expectations and by inviting them to enjoy His beautiful creation of animals and nature.

We abide by what it says in the Bible in 1 Peter 4:9-10 "Cheerfully share your home with those who need a place to stay. God has given each of us a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another." We will do our best to serve you well during your visit.

In Proverbs 11:25 we are also called to "refresh others" so we truly hope you find rejuvenation during your stay here.

Shopping

Before you wrap up your stay, make a visit to our farm store where you can shop for alpaca products such as socks, sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves. Pick up some honey made from bees on our farm or some farm fresh eggs from our flock of pastured chickens!

Check out all of our accommodations and availability and then book a getaway you and your family will never forget…we promise! Please be sure to let us know if you have any special requests. We’d love to help you celebrate a special occasion! Just ask…we’ve got lots of ideas!
