Updated: Jun 22

About the Tree Tent:

If you’re an avid outdoors person, you’re likely excited camping season is here. What could possibly be better than falling asleep to the sound of a babbling creek and waking to a fresh morning breeze? Well... how about doing it in a tent hanging above the ground?

Your tree tent will be set up for you prior to your arrival. It is about 3 feet off the ground The campsite includes a picnic table and fire pit. You bring your own sleeping bags and additional camp gear. For convenience, there is a porta potty at the site. Modern flushing toilets and a sink can be used about 200 yards from the campsite.

Explore the Farm Heritage Farm is a working alpaca farm with over 50 alpacas you can watch and interact with. Make friends with our black Labrador, Juno. Also residing on the farm are a flock of chickens, several barn cats and a few goats. If you want to, you can help with the daily chores of feeding the animals and collecting eggs.

After that, you can explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm.

Activities for kids include helping with farm chores, wading in the creek, swinging on the large platform swing and sliding down the hill slide.

Be sure to visit our farm store before you leave where you can shop for alpaca products such as sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves. Pick up some farm fresh eggs from our flock of pastured chickens!
