Country Weddings are the Best Weddings

February 21, 2017

The term "country-chic" is not an oxymoron.  Here are some ideas to add rustic elegance to a country wedding.

Nature Made

Popping Fresh

Bring a country fair atmosphere to your reception with an old-fashioned popcorn bar.  Offer popcorn balls as well as fresh-popped with a variety of seasonings for guests to snack on. Check out our Pinterest collection for popcorn bar ideas. (photo credit: Pen N' Paperflowers Studio & Design)

A Step Up

Cowboy boots make perfect vessels for flowers, just place a vase inside.  Here, they are set on log slices (which we have available for you to use).  The could also make great dinner table centerpieces. (photo credit:  Carrie Wildes)

Arbor Day

Welcome guests to an outdoor ceremony with a special entrance by setting up a frame with wreath-decked doors.  At the aisle's end, simple wooden ladders create a unique alter adorned with flower bouquets and garland.  (photo credit:  Janie Medley Flora Design)

Bee Mine

Give away tiny pots of honey from bees on Heritage Farm!  This is a sweet thank-you favor for wedding guests displayed on pedestals of rustic crates.  (photo credit:  Vitalic Photo

Pastoral Perfection

Quilt covered straw bales, parasols and horses (or how about alpacas)?  It couldn't be more perfect! (photo credit:  Tec Petaja)

Circle Up

Half circles of hay bales surrounding a rustic alter draped with burlap and wood vines create an intimate outdoor ceremony spot.  This couple covered the straw bales with pieces of old lace and embroidered tablecloths from their grandmothers and aunts to create comfier seats for guests and honor extended family. Under Your Spell

Marquee letters under string lights proclaim your L-O-V-E in this bucolic barn reception that is both magical and simple.  (photo credit:  Bright Event Productions)

Happy Trails

Give guests a healthy snack break with a DIY trail mix bar stocked with nuts, popcorn, pretzels, chocolate candies, and more to fill cellophane bags. Top the display with a hand lettered chalkboard sign.  (photo credit: ee photography)

Sow Sweet

A wheelbarrow full of soil and seed packets is a fitting favor display for a farm wedding.  Prop up a handmade sign on an old hay fork and rest a couple other garden tools alongside for an extra rustic vibe.  (photo credit:  Jason + Anna Photography)

Frame of Mind

Upcycled window frames create an eye-catching focal point for the alter when propped up on straw bales and surrounded by fall mums.

A Jarring Experience

There is no dreamier way to get married than by standing under a tree filled with hanging candlelit Mason jars.
